How do you control your rental materials? - Blog
Posted on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018As a bike rental company, you sometimes hear from a hotel: "Just put 10 e-bikes at my place". In Excel you keep track of how many bikes are rented out and at the end of the month you are told for what amount you can send an invoice. All in good faith, but even a receptionist sometimes forgets something or the janitor did not know of the existence of the list. It just happens and your turnover is unchecked. And sometimes it also takes two months before you get your money. Not nice of course... But with LeisureKing, this is a thing of the past!
So how does it work?
We create a branch for each hotel or campground in our reservation and checkout system so they can fill reservations through LeisureKing. Working through LeisureKing takes just as much time as putting a cross in an Excel file, but then you have everything digital and you can see remotely what has been rented out. If necessary, you can still do spot checks at the various locations to check that everything is correct. In addition, hotels and campsites can easily keep track of which materials they have given to which customer and at the end of the month you can automatically send your invoice via LeisureKing. An invoice that is sure to be correct. Nice and easy right! Oh yeah, and is the location late in paying? Then they will automatically receive a message about this.
The hotel can also sell your materials through their website
LeisureKing has developed an application especially for hotels and campsites that allows them to rent your materials through their website as well. Your activities are then listed on the website of the hotel or campsite so their guests can book (and pay for) them online. Another option is that the hotel or campsite can of course send an email in advance to all its guests with the information: reserve an e-bike or a small boat. Because, of course, these activities are always in demand.
Costs a lot of money, right?
No, we don't charge a monthly fee. Because in some months you don't make any money and why should you pay for a system in that period? Our earnings model is on the payment side (with iDEAL), because the customer pays a small amount over the reservation. Of course, you can also choose to pay this small amount yourself and not have your customer pay this.
